An awkward teenage boy teams up with a foul-mouthed sexually aggressive girl. Netflix says this isn’t your usual boy meets girl tale…but methinks this statement may have been true 20 years ago. These days that kind of storyline is quite common. Perhaps there’s a ‘twist’ along the way.
This 8 part series is based on the comic series The End Of The Fucking World by Charles S. Forsman. Created for television by Honathan Entwistle and written by Charlie Covell. It’s a UK import, so, there’s that.
First impressions…it’s trying a little too hard to be “edgy”. I feel like I can guess exactly what is going to happen, which, if I’m right, isn’t a great sign. I’ll give it a go though…such is the benefit of Netflix, you’re more apt to try something if it doesn’t require much effort.
