It looks like there is going to be a 5th installment to the Rambo series. Stallone is said to be scripting while Avi Lerner’s Millennium will be producing. This time Vietnam war vet John Rambo finds himself working on a ranch near Mexico when his buddy’s daughter is kidnapped by some bad hombres. Rambo springs into action and finds himself up against a deadly Mexican cartel. Hijinks ensue.
I’m ordinarily not a fan of sequels but I’m going to make an exception in this case. We need more movies like this now more than ever.
This is probably going to be bloody and vicious. The last Rambo had some really good action and Stallone is not one to skimp on the violence. I can’t wait for the snowflakes to open their fetid maws to condemn the killing of brown criminals. I’ll be there to tell them to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. I hope there is also a message about the importance of strong borders to really rub salt in the wound. I also hope the movie makes a billion dollars. It probably won’t…but one can hope.
Trautman: How will you live, John?
Rambo: Day by day.
Shooting for the film is tentatively scheduled to begin this September.
