In a recent about-face, Endgame actress Scarlett Johansson has spoken out against the idea that only certain people should be allowed to play certain roles. In an interview with As If magazine the actress stated:
“You know, as an actor I should be allowed to play any person, or any tree, or any animal because that is my job and the requirements of my job.”
It wasn’t too long ago that Scarlett turned down a role where she would have played a trans person in the would-be film ‘Rub and Tug’. She turned the role down after online outrage from the LGBT community who believed that only a trans person should have the role.
While her latest stance is one I can get behind this makes things more difficult for her because, frankly, she should have never capitulated to the gay mafia in the first place. Now she looks … inconsistent, which will make the SJW mob attack her even harder.
Never back down to an SJW.
Never apologize to an SJW.
We’ve covered the onslaught that SJW’s have raged in the entertainment industry making it a veritable minefield of potential outrage where someone can be an ‘ist’ or a ‘phobe’ at the drop of a hat. SJW’s have gone out of their way to make certain practices like casting an unmitigated nightmare.
They attacked Ruby Rose for not being ‘gay enough’. They attacked Dwayne Johnson for not being cripple enough. Their ideology holds that only someone who is something can play that thing…the concept of acting completely and utterly eludes them. Meanwhile, the eradication of white characters and replacing them with anything but is ‘A-OK’. This is of course not surprising coming from an ideology whose core tenant is ‘White people are evil’.
The real question for me; is Scarlett striking out against PC casting because she understands it is part of larger more destructive movement or is this simply a case of a rich star complaining because they are used to getting their way.
Whichever the case, this time, If she backs down yet once again this could be the end of the road for her.

Johansson has issued a statement regarding the backlash:
“An interview that was recently published has been edited for click bait and is widely taken out of context, The question I was answering in my conversation with the contemporary artist, David Salle, was about the confrontation between political correctness and art.”
“I personally feel that, in an ideal world, any actor should be able to play anybody and Art, in all forms, should be immune to political correctness. That is the point I was making, albeit didn’t come across that way.”
“I recognize that in reality, there is a wide spread discrepancy amongst my industry that favors Caucasian, cis gendered actors and that not every actor has been given the same opportunities that I have been privileged to, I continue to support, and always have, diversity in every industry and will continue to fight for projects where everyone is included.”
It’s almost as if Scarlett doesn’t know that there is a culture war going on with a rapid side (her side) who believe that everything should be politically correct or worse. It’s interesting to see that despite all their money and influence a lot of these celebrities are imprisoned in an intellectual gulag.
