Robert Englund Joins Stranger Things 4

Robert Englund – Freddie Kruger himself! – will join the cast of season 4 of Stranger Things. In a show so steeped in the 1980 pop culture, this is an excellent casting choice.

According to BloodyDisgusting, Englund will portray Victor Creel, a menacing prisoner detained in a psychiatric institution for decades after he committed a grisly murder. Englund became famous in the 1980s as the monstrous killer in Wes Craven’s 1984 slasher horror Nightmare on Elm Street. First released in 1984, the film was followed by seven sequels and a 2010 remake.

BloodyDisgusting mentions other actors cast in the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things. These include Sherman Augustus (Westworld), Jamie Campbell Bower (Sweeney Todd), Nikola Djuricko (In The Land of Blood and Honey), Mason Dye (The Goldbergs), Eduardo Franco (Booksmart), Joseph Quinn (Catherine the Great), and Tom Wlaschiha (Game of Thrones).

Back in March, David Harbour – who plays Jim Hopper on the show – revealed that season four was initially to come out in early 2021. However, Netflix had to postpone the release due to the pandemic. Stranger Things won’t return at least until July 2021.
