Capcom decided to remake Resident Evil 2, a game originally created in 1998. The story follows rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy joined by college student Claire Redfield as they fight to escape Raccoon City during a zombie apocalypse.
In addition to updated graphics and physics, the remake will feature third person shooter like gameplay as opposed to fixed camera angles, which were used in the original game.
PlayStation has released a “story trailer” with this synopsis:
“Once again, enter the world of survival horror with this brand new trailer from the show floor of Tokyo Game Show! Explore fresh new details on Resident Evil 2, including fan favorite characters and a deeper look at the game’s story.”
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One.
Resident Evil 2 is scheduled for release on January 25, 2019.
