Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer

From Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the second game in the Red Dead Redemption series, serving as a prequel to the first. The story follows the outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Dutch Van der Linde gang. The first Red Dead Redemption was critically acclaimed and to date has sold over 15 million units.

Rockstar has released a ‘launch’ trailer for the game.

    Premise from Rockstar:

America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.

After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.

    Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One

Red Dead Redemption 2 is scheduled for release on October 26th, 2018.

    Toruk's Take

I must say this game is looking prettay, prettay, prettaay, pretty good. Apparently there was some hubbub about members of the development team putting in some serious hours. Well, if this is the result of that hard work, those who have a problem with it can go kick rocks. I’ve always said that when it comes to an immersive, entertainment experience, that video games trump them all. There is absolutely, positively no contest. Watching someone save the day and saving the day yourself are spectacularly different experiences and you cannot top the latter.

The game looks fun, the attention to detail is impressive. I wish all you lucky bastards who have the luxury of time to play this thing the best.

    Happy trails, Pilgrims.
