    Netflix Cancels Iron Fist Series

Netflix has opted not to renew Marvel’s Iron Fist for a third season.

    Netflix’s statement:

“Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on.”

It has been suggested that the series may live on with Disney’s upcoming streaming service, which is expected to launch next year.

    Toruk's Take

I thought Iron Fist’s season 2 was better than the first season. Unfortunately, it still wasn’t great. The perpetual nagging of the women on the show to Danny grew tiresome very quickly and I thought they dropped the ball big-time with Typhoid Mary. They actually found someone who looked capable of bringing the crazy with Alice Eve (whose performance I was pleasantly surprised by) but they failed to tap fully into the character and her abilities to really bring the proceedings up a notch. Instead, they dialed her way down and the show was left on a dull, muted plain for the remainder of the season. And the less said about Chi-bullets the better.

With that said, it was still heads and tails better than the fermented trash that was Jessica Jones Season 2 and Luke Cage Season One was so horrifyingly awful I wouldn’t have watched Season 2 if you paid me. Iron Fist being canceled while these abhorrent abortions are allowed to go on smacks of a sinister and disgusting layer of behind the scenes politics that could only exist in this day and age.

One wonders if Daredevil or The Punisher are being lined up next for the chopping block. If one of these should fall and the aforementioned crap shows are still in existence…then we will have our answer to what is really going on here.
