Masters of the Universe: Revelation Gathers an Impressive Voice Cast

In August, we reported that Netflix and Mattel are working on a new Masters of the Universe cartoon with director Kevin Smith as its showrunner. The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed the show’s impressive voice cast. It includes Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones) as Man-At-Arms, Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Teela, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Evil-Lyn, Justin Long (Galaxy Quest) as Roboto, Henry Rollins (Johnny Mnemonic) as Tri-Klops, Stephen Root (Office Space) as Cringer, and Alicia Silverstone (Batman & Robin) as Queen Marlena.

Skeletor will be voiced by Mark Hamill who, besides portraying Luke Skywalker, is probably best-known for lending his voice to Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. Meanwhile, Skeletor’s original voice actor Alan Oppenheimer will voice Moss Man.

Show’s producers include Adam Bonnett (Descendants), Rob David (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe), and Christopher Keenan (Batman Beyond, Justice League). Masters of the Universe: Revelation is being written by Marc Bernardin (Alphas, Castle Rock), Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), Diya Mishra (The Tick), and Tim Sheridan (Reign of the Supermen). Powerhouse Animation, the studio behind the Castlevania anime series, will handle the animation. There’s, as yet, no release date for this show.
