According to reports, Hill may be up for a role opposite Robert Pattinson in the upcoming Batman film.
While reports are limited and details are few, sources indicate that the cast for the under wraps Matt Reeves project is slowly building. Alongside Pattinson and possibly Hill, those with knowledge of the project have suggested that Jeffery Wright may also be in talks to fill the role of Commissioner Gordon.
From all indications, the idea of Hill filling a role in the film has been a long held desire from the producers. Granted, at this point, there has been no direct indication as to what character Hill is being sought for (though for my own reasons, I am leaning toward Calendar Man).
Regardless of the role, pre-production is expected to start shortly, with official production beginning likely some time between late 2019 and early 2020.
Hill himself has had a wide variety of roles over the years and in recent times has shifted from comedy to more dramatic features. The recent “Maniac” series in which Hill stars alongside Emma Stone, fully displayed Hill’s more serious acting abilities.
Matt Reeves has quite the resume as well, being the filmmaker behind the last two “Planet of the Apes” movies. He took over responsibility of DC’s The Batman after Ben Affleck chose to step away. Needless to say, we will find out how it turns out.
