Production has started on the psychological thriller Unhinged. Reports indicate that Jimmi Simpson will be joining an already impressive cast. The film which is being produced by Solstice Studios will see Simpson play a significant role next to two other major players Russell Crowe and Caren Pistorius.
The plot revolves around a case of extreme road rage as the film follows the result of Rachel (Pistorius) choosing to honk her horn at a driver (Crowe) who takes things much further than anyone might think.
Jimmi Simpson has played many roles, from silly to serious. One of his best known roles has been as Gavin Orsay in Netflix’s House of Cards. He has also held key spots in Westworld and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His resume also contains smaller, but memorable roles in Psych and Black Mirror. As a well rounded and Emmy nominated actor, Simpson looks to certainly contribute to Unhinged with his talent.
Production looks promising as the film hosts Derrick Borte (American Dreamer) as the director with Carl Ellsworth (Disturbia, Red Eye) writing. Unhinged will also harness the talents of producer Lisa Ellzey, who has worked on Warrior and Kingdom of Heaven. Solstice Studios is eyeing the third quarter of 2020 for a US theatrical release. This film may be one to keep an eye on moving forward.
