According to the Hollywood Reporter, director James Wan (Aquaman, Conjuring, Insidious, Saw) will produce a TV adaptation of the horror comic book series Gideon Falls. A mix of rural mystery and urban horror, Gideon Falls follows a group of characters inexplicably drawn towards a mysterious place known as the Black Barn. First published by Image Comics in 2017, this Eisner Award-winning title was created by the writer Jeff Lemire (All-New Hawkeye, Extraordinary X-Men, Moon Knight) and the illustrator Andrea Sorrentino (All-New X-Men, Secret Empire, Uncanny X-Men).
Lemire and Sorrentino – who previously collaborated on Old Man Logan – will also serve as the Gideon Falls‘ executive producers. Wan’s production company Atomic Monster is currently working on several other interesting projects as well. Among them are the new Mortal Kombat movie as well as new adaptations of Stephen King’s novels Salem’s Lot and The Tommyknockers.
