Mike Judge To Produce 2 Comedy Series For HBO
Mike Judge, the man behind Beavis and Butt-head and King of the Hill just signed a two-year deal with HBO to produce two new comedy series. Judge already has a series on HBO, Silicon Valley, this deal ensures that the two will continue to work with one another. The name of the two series are Qualityland and A5.
Series synopsis:
Qualityland
“set in the very near future. It’s everything we have now, and more so. It’s the story of humanity’s struggle against the tyranny of convenience. But funny.”
A5
“Centered on a bioengineer who discovers the gene that makes a person an asshole and attempts to answer the questions nagging at all of us: Why do assholes exist? Why have they come to dominate our culture? And can they be cured?”
It should be noted this deal excludes animated projects. I guess he wants to keep those babies to himself.

Crypto Trailer
Crypto is a crime drama directed by John Stalberg Jr. and written by Carlyle Eubank and David Frigerio.
.
Eh…based off of the video thumbnail you would be tempted to think this was a western or took place in the outback somewhere. Which in light of what I just saw…would probably have been more entertaining. When computer screens take up most of the screen time on your movie trailer you know you’re in for a yawner.
Crypto stars Alexis Bledel, Luke Hemsworth, Jeremie Harris, Beau Knapp, Vincent Kartheiser and Kurt Russell.
Red 11 Movie Poster
Robert Rodriguez, who has earned a fair amount of good will from the geek community thanks to his excellent Alita: Battle Angel has produced a project of a smaller scale in the horror film Red 11. The film is said to have been made from a mere $7000. This apparently is the same cost of his feature film debut El Mariachi, way back in 1992.
Synopsis:
“Based on the research hospital where Robert Rodriguez sold his body to pay for ‘El Mariachi’. ‘Red 11’ is the shirt color and number he was assigned. “
