Harrison Ford Confirms Filming of Indiana Jones 5

In a recent interview for CBS Sunday Morning, Harrison Ford confirmed that the production of the new Indiana Jones film will start in two months, reports GeekTyrant. The 77-year old actor said he would be returning for the leading role of the legendary archeologist he first played in Raiders of the Lost Ark almost four decades ago.

Ever since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out in 2008, there have been rumors about the possibility of a fifth Indiana Jones film. After all, this successful franchise spawned four movies, a TV show, tabletop, and video games as well as a series of comic books and children’s novels. Initially, it seemed that Shea LaBeouf would take over the bullwhip and fedora from Ford as his son Mutt Williams, but the actor was too busy working on Transformers movies. Around 2015, media outlets started speculating about Chris Pratt portraying the new Indiana Jones in a Steven Spielberg-directed reboot. In 2018, Spielberg himself confirmed that the filming would begin in early 2019. Last week Kathleen Kennedy, producer of all four Indiana Jones films, confirmed that the fifth movie is underway. However, as you can see, all these promises should be taken with a grain of salt.
