Mortal Kombat‘s ensemble cast includes, among others, Tadanobu Asano (Thor: Ragnarok) as Raiden, Mehcad Brooks (Supergirl) as Jackson “Jax” Briggs, Chin Han (The Dark Knight) as Shang Tsung, Josh Lawson (Superstore) as Kano, Ludi Lin (Power Rangers) as Liu Kang, Jessica McNamee (The Meg) as Sonya Blade, Hiroyuki Sanada (Westworld) as Scorpion, Joe Taslim (The Raid) as Sub Zero and Into the Badlands star Lewis Tan in as-yet-unknown role.
Mortal Kombat is based on the series of computer fighting games that remain popular to this day. In 1995 Paul W. S. Anderson (Resident Evil, Event Horizon) directed the first Mortal Kombat movie.
