Two notable actors joined the cast of the upcoming fourth John Wick movie – Donnie Yen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Bill Skarsgård (It, It: Chapter Two). Two actors couldn’t pursue more different career paths. Yen mostly starred in martial arts action movies like the Ip Man trilogy, Hero, and Seven Swords. In addition, he has a healthy Hollywood career: besides his role in Rogue One, Yen also appeared in xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Disney’s live-action Mulan remake. As for Skarsgård, this Swedish-born actor is best known for his portrayal of sinister clown Pennywise in Andy Muschietti’s It films. He also appeared on horror TV shows like Castle Rock and Hemlock Grove.
We don’t know much about their roles. As SlashFilm reports, Yen will portray an old friend of John Wick. As for Skarsgård, considering his previous roles, it’s highly likely he’ll play yet another villainous creep. Keanu Reeves will, of course, reprise his performance as John Wick along with Laurence Fishburne as the mysterious The Bowery King. Other new cast members include Shamier Anderson (Stowaway) and musician Rina Sawayama. The current release date for the fourth John Wick film is May 27, 2022.
