Created by René Echevarria (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Castle, The 4400) and Travis Beacham, Carnival Row is a neo-noir fantasy series coming to Amazon.
IMDB synopsis:
Toruk's Take“a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose rich homelands were invaded by the empires of man. This growing immigrant population struggles to coexist with humans in the grimiest section of the city — forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom.”
Oh dear, I can see the ‘wokeness’ coming a mile away. Based on the synopsis I can already feel my eyes rolling into the back of my head as this series hamfistedly attempts to convey to us plebeians the joyful virtues of mass-immigration. It is both a blessing and a curse to have lived long enough to remember a time where the storytelling business wasn’t so spectacularly bereft of talent.
For shame René Echevarria, for shame.
