Toruk's Take
Perhaps extended trailers are the way to go for some films.
Unfortunately, this doesn't compel me to want to fork over cash to see this one in the theaters. However, a 5 - 10 minute trailer...sure, why not. I'd even put up with a short commercial or two. There you go...ad revenue! Can we call that a win-win? Aquaman looks to be mimicking that Marvel humor that I've grown bored with. There's only so much snark one can take before you overdose. These days I'm yearning for old school Fist of The North Star type fair. Where nobody's smiling...and if they are...it means they are about to plunge their fingers through your chest.
Amber Heard is not helping the matter either. She looks like she's playing one of those female characters who's a know-it-all and shrugs in exasperation at everything the male hero does. Can we bury this trope deep in the Sahara somewhere?
Finally, did I just witness a Winter Soldier-esque chase sequence? I believe I did. Ah well, you know what they say...If you're going to steal...steal from the best.
