Amazon’s The Tick Gets Pulled
After only two seasons Ben Edlund’s creation The Tick was pulled from Amazon. The show starred Peter Serafinowicz as the big blue blunder and Griffin Newman as Arthur Everest his sidekick.
“I’m sorry to say Amazon has chosen not to proceed with [‘The Tick’], I’m not sorry to say I love this show, its cast, its story, and its message. Destiny demands that my compatriots and I now seek a new home for this series.”
–Ben Edlund
I never got around to watching this series on Amazon, unfortunately. I did think the cartoon from the 90’s was hilarious though.
Batwoman Trailer
The CW has dropped a trailer for its upcoming Batwoman series starring Ruby Rose.
Batman gave up on them? Hilarious, is this based off of the comics or is it purely a feminists wet dream? Wow…this show is way too woke for me folks. I’m going to leave it for the progressives. Perhaps they will choke on it.
Akiva Goldsman Gets A Comic Book Universe
In absolutely horrific news. Hack writer extraordinaire Akiva Goldsman is going to oversee a writers room to develop a superhero universe based on the Atlas Comics library. Yes, the man who has fouled up more projects than JJ Abrams is going to be in charge of an entire comic book universe.
Ghost Rider producer Steven Paul….Ghost Rider producer, that’s right, you read that correctly. The producer behind one of those horrible Ghost Rider movies (the sequel to be precise) has purchased a majority interest in the Atlas Comics library and is now going to do to the characters in this universe what the Gauls did to the woman in Rome.
This is a despicable and flagrant attempt to get a chunk of that superhero cheddar but just one glance at the team being assembled forecasts years and years of stone-cold trash. My goodness, we are in for a tsunamis of feces folks.
Some of us have unfortunately lived long enough to exit the golden age of Superhero movies and enter the Asylum Superhero Phase. These poor characters do not deserve this fate.
