Octane is officially going to be the first new character to join Apex Legends. Octane will be added to EA’s Apex Legends in the Season 1 Battle Pass that launches today. Let’s see what this character can do.
Octane’s passive ability is Swift Mend. This allows him to restore his health over time as long as he is not taking damage. We don’t know how fast that time will be but the thought alone leads us to believe he’ll be a great asset for survivability seeing as how he won’t be completely reliant on med kits.
His tactical ability is Adrenaline Junkie. This ability allows him to move 30% faster for 6 seconds at the cost of 10% of his health. He is also immune to slows while this is active. Not only does “Adrenaline Junkie” fit perfect with the name Octane and his title “High Speed Daredevil”, but this ability really drives home the run and gun aggressive play-style that this character seems to be going for.
Finally, his ultimate ability is Launch Pad. This is a deployable jump pad that catapults users through the air. Combined with his tactical ability or even other heroes abilities this should lead to some crazy escape or ambush shenanigans. Well that’s all we got for Octane right now. Anyone excited?
