Apple TV Plus continues casting for its adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s science fiction classic Foundation. In October, Apple’s streaming service picked Jared Harris (Mad Men, Chernobyl) to play genius scientist Hari Seldon and Lee Pace (Guardians of the GalaxyHalt and Catch Fire) for the role of Brother Day, ruler of the vast, corrupt, and decadent Galactic Empire.

Now, according to Variety, Apple cast five more actors in the show. Leah Harvey (Fighting with My Family) will portray Salvar, and Lou Llobell (Voyagers) will play Gaal. These characters will join Seldon’s cause. Laura Birn (The Birdcatcher) will star as Demerzel, a mysterious aide to the Emperor Brother Day. Terrence Mann (Critters, Sense8) will portray Brother Dusk, the eldest living member of the imperial family while Cassian Bilton will embody Brother Dawn, an heir to the throne.

Isaac Asimov’s initially published Foundation as a series of short stories in 1942. Set in the far future, they tell a story of a mathematician Hari Seldon who invents a new science called psychohistory that predicts the collapse of the Galactic Empire. Seldon attempts preserving the knowledge of the Empire with a group of renegades. In 1951 Asimov had his stories published as a trilogy of novels.
