The official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 is here.
Toruk's TakeDespite the regressive left’s best efforts to present it as a patriarchy smashing feminist revenge fantasy, Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 2017 was actually anything but. Gal Gadot’s Princess Diana not only didn’t hate men she was willing to give her life for one.
The film managed to present a strong female character without the toxic misandry found in so many other films helmed by or starring women in the culture war era. It was quite refreshing and reminded us why we loved films like Aliens and Terminator or TV shows like Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
As for this trailer…Steve Trevor’s return was a little strange, but he still seemed to gel weil with Diana. I don’t see any anti-male nonsense which a good sign and the action looks fairly good.
The only big question is whether this will have a decent villain. I’m not a fan of Kristen Wig, and not just because she was in that horrible Ghostbusters 2016. I just don’t trust her or her sensibilities. I hope they manage to produce a decent film in spite of her involvement.
Wonder Woman 1984 Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wig, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright rolls into theaters June 5, 2020.
