Apple TV+ will be renewing M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological horror series Servant ahead of its premiere on November 28. According to the Geek Tyrant, this news comes from Shyamalan himself who announced it while appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The series follows Dorothy and Sean Turner (played by Lauren Ambrose from Six Feet Under and Toby Kebbell from Wrath of the Titans). This young couple is mourning the death of their newborn baby. They are given a Reborn Doll to help them cope with their tragic loss. However, the doll instead only makes the situation worse, especially once they hire a nanny (Nell Tiger Free – Too Old to Die Young) to take care of it. Servant also features Rupert Grant (Harry Potter series) as Dorothy’s mess of a brother.
Produced by Shyamalan, Servant was written and created by Tony Basgallop, a British TV writer who previously worked on TV shows such as What Remains, Inside Men, Hotel Babylon and To the Ends of the Earth. The first season of Servant will consist out of ten episodes.
