Recently, production company Blumhouse revealed on Twitter the cast of its upcoming remake of the 1996 supernatural horror film The Craft. While the casting of Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim: Uprising) as was already announced, we now know who will portray the remaining witches in the film’s coven: Gideon Adlon (Blockers), Zoey Luna (TV series Pose) and Lovie Simone (TV series Greenleaf). Zoe Lister-Jones will direct this remake. Formerly Lister-Jones made (and starred in) the musical comedy Band Aid on top of appearing in TV shows like Life in Pieces, New Girl, Whitney and Friends With Better Lives.

The Craft first came out in 1996. Directed by the veteran TV director Andrew Fleming, this horror film followed Sarah (Robin Tunney – TV series The Mentalist), a misfit and a newcomer in the catholic prep school. Sarah discovers kindred spirits in three other school outcasts: Bonnie (Neve Campbell – Scream), Nancy (Fairuza Balk – The Island of Dr. Moreau) and Rochelle (Rachel True – Half Baked). Together they start practicing dark magic with fatal consequences. While The Craft upon release received mixed criticisms and was a modest box office success, it became a cult classic over the next two decades.
