About a month ago Mario Lopez, who is best known to us Gen X’ers as the buff and brash A.C. Slater from the sitcom “Saved By The Bell”, was on the Candace Owens show. Within the span of a lengthy conversation that covered a myriad of topics, Lopez voiced his rather tepid skepticism regarding the practice of some progressive parents diagnosing their small children (as early as 3 years old) as transgender.
Essentially, he agreed with the host Owens that children aren’t particularly in the best mindset to defiantly convey who much less what they are and that it is probably best to wait until they have undergone puberty before making any permanent life altering decisions.
He also went on to say that he wasn’t passing any judgements and believed that the parents were coming from a good place.
Naturally, a full month later, the left are trying to skewer him.
This would make some sense if he held my position on the matter, which is quite simply, if you take steps to alter your child to facilitate a perceived gender such as hormone suppression or surgery then you should go to prison. Period. This is child abuse of the highest order and we should have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to this. Now, screech about that.
The organization GLAAD even approached his bosses…here’s what they said:
“The real ‘dangerous action’ is when someone with a public platform uses bad science to speak against a marginalized and vulnerable group of children. We spoke with Extra and it is clear that the showrunners do not support or share his view. They will address this issue on the show tonight. Lopez clearly needs a primer on trans issues. We reached out to his team to see if and how he will correct the record.”
But what Lopez said matters very little to this lot. It’s what he did not say during the interview that is of paramount consequence. He didn’t prostate himself, bend the knee and offer his unwavering allegiance to their ideology and for that he had to pay.
Pediatrician Michelle Cretella, M.D. says that organizations like GLAAD or full of crap regarding children and transgenderism. You can read her entire article here but the summation is as follows:
“The crux of the matter is that while the transition-affirming movement purports to help children, it is inflicting a grave injustice on them and their nondysphoric peers.
These professionals are using the myth that people are born transgender to justify engaging in massive, uncontrolled, and unconsented experimentation on children who have a psychological condition that would otherwise resolve after puberty in the vast majority of cases.
Today’s institutions that promote transition affirmation are pushing children to impersonate the opposite sex, sending many of them down the path of puberty blockers, sterilization, the removal of healthy body parts, and untold psychological damage.
These harms constitute nothing less than institutionalized child abuse. Sound ethics demand an immediate end to the use of pubertal suppression, cross-sex hormones, and sex reassignment surgeries in children and adolescents, as well as an end to promoting gender ideology via school curricula and legislative policies.
It is time for our nation’s leaders and the silent majority of health professionals to learn exactly what is happening to our children, and unite to take action.”
Unfortunately Lopez did issue an apology, something he should have never done, but what are you gonna do. The guy is afraid of losing work and he has a family to take care. Problem is, that this will likely make them come after him even more. Never apologize to SJWs. Never. Ever.
Lopez’s apology:
“The comments I made were ignorant and insensitive, and I now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were, I have been and always will be an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I am going to use this opportunity to better educate myself. Moving forward I will be more informed and thoughtful.”
Mario Lopez said nothing wrong. The psychopathic parents who embrace the diseased ideology of the left and cause harm to their children as a result are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves.
