Horror Flick Ashes Trailer, New Regency To Adapt The Hawkline Monster and Punky Brewster…is Back?

    Ashes Trailer

    Synopsis:

“After a family’s estranged aunt passes away, they’re reluctant and creeped out to receive her cremated ashes. But when a series of supernatural misfortunes beset them, they’ll have to go through Hell to be rid of her angry spirit.”

Something doesn’t feel right? Yeah, I should say so. This doesn’t look good…at all. I don’t want to be a snob but it’s very difficult to watch something that looks so obviously cheap. However, this looks so bad that it might actually be fun to review it. We’ll see.

For now let’s cleanse our palate with Warner Brothers Gremlins trailer created to advertise their remastering of the original:

    Punky Brewster…is Back?

For reasons that only a coke-addled executive could explain, Universal Content Productions is creating a sequel to the 1980’s sitcom Punky Brewster. The series will star Soleil Moon Frye who starred as a the spunky tike over 3 decades ago. In the new series we catch up with Punky as a single mother of three…yay.

Let’s examine the elephant the room..what the heck happened to Soleil Moon Frye??

    I looked her up and she’s only 42. A hard 42 apparently.

New Regency To Adapt The Hawkline Monster

The 1974 Richard Brautigan novel The Hawkline Monster: A Gothic Western is up at bat again to be developed into a film. This time by New Regency (Bohemian Rhapsody). This isn’t the first time the novel has been slated for adaptation

. The last fellow who attempted it was Tim Burton, with Clint Eastwood and Jack Nicholson starring.

I read the full plot of the story and can safely say that this is a tale that could fall on its face spectacularly. For those who haven’t read it the story begins with two gunslingers hired by a woman to kill a monster for her. The way the story evolves may not be to the liking of many, just saying.

Wait…what’s this? More news? Good news? Well, that depends…if you thought the second season of Jessica Jones was anything other than a steaming pile of dreck you might find this interesting.

Kristen Ritter’s going to direct an episode of Jessica Jones..because what do they have to lose? This is the last season of the series and frankly, it can’t get any worse than it already is.

Did she just say ‘sick’, okay, maybe it can get worse. Anyone who says ‘sick’ unironically should be drug out into the middle of the street…and shot.
