Ghost Rider is coming to Hulu. The series will star Gabriel Luna as the flaming anti-hero with Ingrid Escajeda serving as showrunner and executive producer along with Paul Zbyszewski and Jeph Loeb. This is all supposed to go down sometime in 2020.
You couldn’t pay me to watch Agents of Shield so I can’t speak for Gabriel Luna or how Ghost Rider fared on that series but the cinematic outings of Ghost Rider have been less than ideal.
Mark Steven Johnson who for reasons are sure to curdle the mind was allowed to touch this character in 2007 after his oh-so-atrocious handling of Daredevil (2003). Seriously they let him write and direct the movie. The cocaine was flying fast and furious in the executive offices that day to be sure.
Unfortunately the sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) directed by two people this time: Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, wasn’t much better.
Youngsters truly do not know the wars we fought to get Hollywood to deliver high-quality superhero flicks. You’re welcome.
Hopefully for Ghost Rider fans this outing falls into the positive column.
