As we previously reported Eric Holder was charged with the murder of rapper and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle as well as 2 counts of attempted murder and 1 count of possession of a firearm by a felon. The LAPD reportedly identified Holder based on video footage of the incident. This case, while tragic, seemed pretty cut and dry until we discovered Holder claimed not guilty and has hired Chris Darden, a prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson case, to defend him.
The O.J. Simpson case is portrayed as the “trial of the century” because of the international publicity that spanned eleven months with various twist and turns. Chris Darden was the one who famously had O.J. try on the glove.
Needless to say it’s a bit bewildering why such a high profile lawyer would take this case. Just what exactly is going on here? If it was not weird enough it is stated that Holder’s get away driver during the incident was not arrested but came to the police on her own accord and is working with detectives. The driver is claiming she never knew that Holder intended to harm anyone and only knew of the incident afterwards.
Given the recent news regarding the Jussie Smollett case we think it’s safe to say this case will be more than meets the eye.
