Written and Directed by Gary Dauberman from a story by James Wan and Dauberman, Annabelle Comes Home is the third film in the ‘Annabelle’ franchise.
Synopsis:
Toruk's Take“Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.”

I respect that they have went all out and created their own little universe with these movies…but the jump scares. These jump scares detract rather than add to the quality of these films. These films will never reach the epic goodness of movies like Hellraiser or The Ring. When it’s all said and done they will be placed on the second shelf in the horror film lexicon because the creators were more interested in short-term gain versus eternal glory.
Annabelle Comes Home starring Vera Farminga, Patrick Wilson, Madison Iseman, Stephen Blackehart and Mckenna Grace into theaters June 28, 2019.
