AMC Is Developing A Follow-Up Series To ‘Orphan Black’
The series, that sources claim is neither a reboot or a sequel, is set in the same world as Orphan Black but will tell a different story with different characters. Temple Street Productions, a producer for Orphan Black is said to be on board.
Orphan Black had its moments but without Maslany I dont’t think the show would have been nearly as popular as it was. Curious to see who will tune in to a story in the same universe without her in the picture.

Amy Adams’ Production Company Is Developing ‘Poisonwood Bible’ Series With HBO
Amy Adams (Sharp Objects) production company Bond Group Entertainment has signed a ‘first-look’ deal with HBO. Their first business of order is an adaptation of Barbara Kingsolver’s novel The Poisonwood Bible.
Novel Synopsis:
“The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce, evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it — from garden seeds to Scripture — is calamitously transformed on African soil. What follows is a suspenseful epic of one family’s tragic undoing and remarkable reconstruction over the course of three decades in postcolonial Africa”
Hmm…sounds like a party, well, actually a nightmare.Think I’ll likely be skipping that dreary trek through hell.
Netflix To Add Yet Another Anime To Its Roster With Sci-Fi Action Manga Spriggan
Netflix is developing another anime adaptation. This time the subject (or victim) is the action shonen manga Spriggan. Originally serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Sunday from 1989 to 1996. The story follows the adventures of Yu Ominae, an elite secret agent (called strikers or spriggans) of the ARCAM private army who seek to prevent various groups from obtaining mysterious artifacts called (OOPart) left by an ancient civilization.
The manga was written by Hiroshi Takashige and illustrated by Ryōji Minagawa. It was previously developed into an anime film in 1998.
David Production (Cells at Work!, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) will be producing.
