CW Arrow Will Retire Its Quiver Next Season
The CW’s Superhero series Arrow will come to an end on its eighth season according to Deadline. The last season will only be 10 episodes. Stephen Amell who stars as Oliver Queen, The Green Arrow made the announcement via social media.
Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever.
Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this Fall.
There’s so much to say… for now I just want to say thank you.

Here is the joint statement from executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz:
“This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we’ve made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of Arrow in mind. We’re heartened by the fact that Arrow has birthed an entire universe of shows that will continue on for many years to come. We’re excited about crafting a conclusion that honors the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and — more importantly — the incredible crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years.”
Idris Elba Wants To Take A Shot At Deadshot
Will Smith is out but Idris Elba may be in. The Hollwood Reporter reports that Elba is in talks to take over the role of Deadshot for the Suicide Squad sequel being helm by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. Apparently Elba was Gunn’s first and only choice. They met last Friday and ever since talks have intensified since then. The film is set for an August 6th, 2021 release.
Suicide Squad was so lackluster I can’t even begin to get interested. If thinking about James Gunn didn’t make my skin crawl I might feel this next one could be an improvement.
Warner Brothers Kevin Tsujihara Accused Of Hooking His Lover Up With Gigs
Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, the man who was brought in to turn things around for DC is in the hot seat for allegedly helping the British actress Charlotte Kirk land roles in Warner Bros. productions. Both Tsujihara and Kirk deny any shenaigans went on with regard to her being hired so this looks like a case of some busybody or passed over actress spilling the beans.
It could even be a Marvel operative looking to sabotage the DCU because they realize SJW MCU is going to tank big-time…but that’s just speculation on my part..: ).
I ask the ladies and gentlemen of the jury…if a woman can’t bang her way into some acting roles what has this world come too?
You can read the whole story at Variety, I’m already bored with it.
