Those who can’t get enough of the MCU can rejoice as Marvel Studios landed a writer for the new series ‘The Vision and Scarlet Witch” for Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jac Scheffer, a co-writer for Captain Marvel, is set to be writer and showrunner of the new series, which will be giving the show someone who is already familiar with writing for the MCU. Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen will star as the main characters reprising their movie roles as Vision and The Scarlet Witch.
Both characters have been major players in the Avengers comics and have had many stories involving their loving yet complicated relationship. Vision, being an android who desires to feel what it’s like to be a normal human and Wanda being a powerful sorceress who cares for Vision regardless. The power couple have had many controversies over the years ranging from others not approving of their android and human romance to altering reality in order for them to have children.
Other Marvel shows on the Disney+ line up to look forward to include Loki, the God of Mischief played by Tom Hiddleston, and Falcon and The Winter Soldier which will star Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.
