Here’s an interesting project, developed by Square Enix and Human Head Studios, The Quiet Man is an action-adventure video that is supposedly playable in one sitting. The story, set in New York City features a deaf protagonist.
From Square Enix:
“THE QUIET MAN™ delivers an immersive story driven cinematic action experience seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG and pulse-pounding action gameplay.
Unravelling within a single night, players take the role of deaf protagonist Dane as he fights his way through a “soundless” world to discover the motives behind the kidnapping of a songstress from a mysterious masked man. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled motion picture like experience which can be completed in one sitting.”
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Windows (digital only).
The Quiet Man is scheduled for release on November 1, 2018.
Toruk's Take
One sitting you say? Hmm, finally a game I actually have time to play 8-).
In all serious I'm not sure what to make of this. It's an interesting idea but it is also from the UK...which is an SJW third world country right now. I'm not sure I can trust the intentions of anything that spawns from there. But then Square Enix is a Japanese video game company...and the Japanese rock.
Things used to be so simple.
