Well, it seems like everyone is covering their bums so to speak. From Dan Harmon (The Co-Creator of Rick and Morty) leaving Twitter to now Rian Johnson Director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi deleting 20,000 tweets. He did acknowledge that Disney was not behind him purging his Tweets but Internet “Trolls” who like to go deep-diving into other people’s Tweet history for the sole purpose of building “ammunition” in the hopes of hurting people s careers. He also said: “I don’t think I’ve ever tweeted anything that bad. But it’s nine years of stuff written largely off the cuff as ephemera,” he explained.
So I’m not sure if the world will ever know the real man behind Rian Johnson. Asked whether there was a fast way of deleting that many tweets, the director replied: “There are apps that do it literally with the flip of a switch.”
