Last year’s Luke Cage pissed me off. Granted I should have known better given who the showrunner was: Cheo Hodari Coker. None-the-less the Michael (hands up don’t shoot big fat lie narrative) Brown and the Trayvon (I like to crack people’s heads open on pavements but I’m really a sweetheart) Martin homages in addition to making any character lighter than a paper bag inept, violent or evil made me want to vomit. Anyone who seriously wants to address the problems in the black community better be willing to accept some uncomfortable truths otherwise they are nothing but opportunists, race-hustlers, and professional victims. Pushing your false narratives and misinformation into my entertainment is going to get you nothing from me but scorn. End rant.

Good grief. They turned up the ‘blackness’ which doesn’t even seem natural coming from Colter who is hardly ‘street’. Think I’ll skip this season altogether.
