A little while back we discussed the buzz surrounding A24’s new horror film Hereditary.
The daughter (Milly Shapiro) looks pretty creepy and her acting looks very solid. I hope she umm, grows into her looks and is able to get a lot of work after this. It always makes me feel bad when child actors who have a specific look are used for one particular film or show but then are unable to really star in anything else because of their looks…but I digress. This started looking like it just might be scary at the midway point. A lot of creepy visuals. I don’t get the impression there will be a lot of jump scares which is refreshing. Real horror doesn’t need jump scares.
I give this trailer a thumbs up, can’t wait to see if this movie brings home the goods.
