Clancy Brown, best known for portraying villainous Kurgan in the 1986 movie Highlander, joined the cast of the fourth John Wick film, reports SlashFilm. An impressive list of names already includes Scott Adkins (Doctor Strange, The Expendables 2), Sharmier Anderson (Stowaway, Wynonna Earp), Hiroyuki Sanada (Army of the Dead, Mortal Kombat), Bill Skarsgard (Deadpool 2, It), singer and model Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), and Marko Zaror (Alita: Battle Angel). Lawrence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick will reprise their performances from earlier movies alongside Keanu Reeves.
Brown is a veteran character actor. Over the decades, he made a name for himself by primarily playing bad guys, both in movies (Pet Sematary 2, Starship Troopers, The Shawshank Redemption) and on TV (HBO’s Carnivale, AMC’s upcoming Dexter revival). Brown has also been providing voices to characters in games like World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and animated TV shows like Superman: The Animated Series and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
After months of delays due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, the production of John Wick Chapter 4 began on June 28, 2021. It will premiere on May 27, 2022.
