Top Gun: Maverick, Mission: Impossible Sequels and More Get New Release Dates

Yet again, a major studio is reshuffling its movie release schedule. This time, it’s Paramount Pictures. Last July, the studio postponed Top Gun: Maverick from December 2020 to July 2, 2021. Now, GeekTyrant reveals Paramount has re-scheduled its premiere again until November 19, 2021. Similarly, the next two Mission: Impossible films will come out on May 27, 2022, and July 7, 2023. Their previous release dates were July 23, 2021, and August 5, 2022.

We reported several times about the casting for the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie. We now know Paramount set its premiere for March 3, 2023. A new Star Trek film will follow on June 9, 2023. Nerds will have something to be happy about… two years from now. There’s a fourth Jackass movie set for October 22, 2021, and the currently untitled Bee Gees film arriving in cinemas on November 4, 2022.

Among all these titles, there’s one that Paramount remarkably moved UP from its previous release date. G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes was slated for a release on October 22, 2021. Now, Paramount has moved its premiere to July 23 – a height of what used to be a blockbuster season. Boy, remember those?
