Jennifer Lawernce is back to action again, this time playing a Russian Intelligence Officer (sparrow) whom must expose an American mole (Joel Edgerton) in Russia. I’ve never been one of those guys who went gaga over Lawerence, just not really my type, so it’s gonna take more than sultry looks for me to get into this film. From what I can tell the most interesting aspects will probably be the spy breaking/training montage. For some reason those always seem to be the most interesting parts to these types of films.
There’s tell of it getting an R rating…so we might see some skin. Other than that it looks like your run-of-the-mill “I’m a spy/assassin…but I’d rather be baking cookies could someone please show me the exit?” storyline. Wouldn’t it be refreshing to come across a gal who actually likes being a spy/assassin? Ah well.
