Oscar Isaac in Talks to Star in Marvel’s Moon Knight

GeekTyrant reports Disney Plus is in talks with Oscar Isaac (Dune, Ex Machina, new Star Wars trilogy) about portraying the role of the titular character in Marvel’s upocoming TV series Moon Knight. However, nothing is set in stone yet, so it remains to be seen will Isaac take on the superhero’s cape and cowl.

But this isn’t the only Moon Knight news! Just a day later arrived the announcement Disney Plus hired Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab to direct the series. The 42-year old filmmaker previously directed Clash (a drama set entirely within the confines of a police wan during the riots) as well as The Island (an action-thriller about the rise and fall of the drug warlord). The Island was the most financially successful Egyptian film of all time.

We wrote several times about the Moon Knight. He is one of the darker and more peculiar Marvel superheroes. Created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, he first appeared in comic books in 1975. The show’s writing team includes Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) and Beau DeMayo (The Originals, The Witcher).
