GeekTyrant reports Ben Affleck will return as Bruce Wayne/Batman he played in DCEU movies for Andy Muschietti’s upcoming standalone film The Flash. Michael Keaton, who played Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s Batman movies, will reprise his performance as well. This means we will be getting two Batmen for the price of one! Mind you, both of these appearances will likely be mere cameos, but still! Two Batmen for the price of one!
It’s been a rough road for the Scarlet Speedster. Over the last two years, the film changed its directors and was postponed several times. At one point, Ezra Miller – who plays the Flash in DCEU – began working on the film’s script himself. Eventually, Andy Muschietti (It) signed on to direct and co-write The Flash alongside Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Birds of Prey), with Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco as producers. Also, considering the COVID-19 pandemic, the fact Warner Bros. postponed this project for so long may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. The filming of The Flash should begin sometime next year when the pandemic hopefully subsides. At the moment, the movie’s release date is June 3, 2022.
