Animaniacs are back! This November Hulu will stream a 12-episode cartoon series featuring new adventures of the Warner siblings – Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. Also returning will be Pinky and the Brain, resuming their quest to take over the world. Even better for the long-time fans of the show, Hulu already ordered a second season.
Hulu first announced the Animaniacs revival in January 2018. The streaming service is producing the show in partnership with Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation that worked on the original show over twenty years ago. Also, the deal grants Hulu rights to stream Tiny Toon Adventures as well as old episodes of Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain.
Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Animaniacs first aired on Fox Kids in September 1993. It consisted of short skits featuring the Warner siblings as well as other characters like Slappy Squirrel, The Goodfeathers, Minerva Mink, and Buttons and Mindy. The cartoon aired for five seasons and almost one hundred episodes. On top of that, Animaniacs had at least one spin-off series – Pinky and the Brain – as well as a direct-to-video feature-length film titled Wakko’s Wish.
