    Disney, AMC and More Bringing Panels to Comic-Con@Home

    This year’s San Diego Comic-Con was canceled due to the pandemic. However, the world’s biggest comic book convention will nevertheless take place online as Comic-Con@Home. Throughout the last week came reports about some of the featured panels.

    Disney TV Studios will bring virtual panels for shows like American Dad!, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy and, of course, The Simpsons. Additionally, there will be a conversation with Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Castle, The Rookie) with special appearances by the likes of director Joss Whedon and Fillion’s colleagues Alan Tudyk and Gina Torres.

    Meanwhile, AMC will be bringing panels about its hit series Thcomic-cone Walking Dead, as well as its spinoffs Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. There will also be a virtual panel about season two of AMC’s adaptation of Joe Hill’s horror novel NOS4A2. All of these will feature producers, writers, and actors from the shows.

    Finally, Hulu will present a panel about the upcoming TV series Helstrom about super-powered siblings Daimon and Ana Helstrom (played by Tom Austen and Sydney Lemmon) battling supernatural evils even as they face their sinister legacy. Furthermore, there will be panels about grimly humorous animated series Solar Opposites by the creators of Rick and Morty and about the fantasy spoof Crossing Swords.

    Organizers will keep on updating the program in the weeks to come. Comic-Con@Home will stream on July 23 – 26.
