BloodyDisgusting reports the shooting of The Witcher’s second season will continue on August 17. The production of this dark fantasy hit series takes place in Arborfield Studios, around 40 miles west of London. Netflix halted the shoot in mid-March when cast member Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) tested positive for COVID-19, leading to a thorough cleaning of the set and – One hopes! – coronavirus testing for all of the cast and crew members. There’s no word yet will this change the release of the show’s second season. But then again, Netflix so far only revealed that the season 2 of The Witcher is coming out sometime next year.
The global pandemic of coronavirus shut down most of the world’s movie and TV productions. As the first wave of the pandemic slowly receded after three months, studios began talking about resuming their shoots. Both Hollywood and British Film Institute released guidelines outlining the basics of health and safety measures during productions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Jurassic Park: Dominion and Mission: Impossible 7 will continue their production this July and September, respectively. Meanwhile, James Cameron and his crew are undergoing a quarantine on New Zealand before the work on Avatar sequels can resume.
