Over the last several weeks, streaming service CBS All Access has been steadily releasing new info about the second season of its The Twilight Zone reboot, developed by Simon Kinberg, Jordan Peele, and Marco Ramirez. A short time ago, BloodyDisgusting published a full list of the upcoming season’s episodes as well as the new batch of promo images.
Even more interesting, however, is the list of the show’s directors. Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, The Bad Batch) will direct the episode titled Ovation that features Sky Ferreira (Baby Driver), Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!) and Paul F. Tompkins (BoJack Horseman). Osgood Perkins (Gretel and Hansel, The Blackcoat’s Daughter) will helm the episode You Might Also Like starring Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire). And filmmaking duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Resolution, Spring, The Endless) will direct the second season’s first episode, simply titled 8.
As we reported in the past, the show will feature performances by Morena Baccarin, Jenna Elfman, Gillian Jacobs, Joel McHale, Chris Meloni, and Jimmi Simpson. We now learn they will be joined by Kylie Bunbury (When They See Us), Topher Grace (BlacKkKlansman), Tony Hale (Arrested Development), Natalie Martinez (Kingdom), and Damon Wayans Jr.(Let’s Be Cops!).
The second season of The Twilight Zone will premiere this summer.
