HBO, CBS All Access and AMC Offer Free Streaming Content

As social distancing continues, ever more streaming services offer their content freely to new viewers, seeing a unique opportunity for promotion. We already reported about free trial periods provided by services like Acorn TV, Shudder, and Sundance Now.

According to GeekTyrant, HBO is getting in on the action as well, allowing viewers free access to some of its content for a limited time. Besides feature films and documentaries available, it’s undoubtedly HBO’s list of its critically acclaimed TV shows that’s singularly interesting. These include full seasons of Barry, Silicon Valley, Six Feet Under, Succession, The Sopranos, The Wire, True Blood, and Veep.

Last week, CBS All Access announced it will stream the entire season of Star Trek: Picard for free throughout April. Now SlashFilm reports that CBS All Access will extend its trial period from 30 to 60 days, allowing viewers a chance to sample some of its content. Finally, BloodyDisgusting says that AMC will stream the season 10 of The Walking Dead without a subscription.
